Abestone Hard Enduro World Championship 2026
About this event
The Abestone Hard Enduro World Championship 2026 takes place September 4-6, 2026, in Val di Luce, Abetone, within the municipality of Abetone Cutigliano in the Province of Pistoia, Tuscany, Italy. It forms Round 6 of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, following a date change from the originally planned July slot. Riders compete on extreme natural terrain in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, tackling woods, rocky sections, mud, and vertical slopes. The event features three categories: Gold for professional World Championship and Junior World Championship riders, Silver for skilled intermediate riders with age-based classes and a women's classification, and Bronze for amateurs split into Under 40, Over 40, Over 50, and Women groups. The program runs across the weekend with trials, challenges, and finals culminating in the decisive Sunday races. Participants and spectators travel from dozens of countries to Val di Luce, a ski resort area that converts into a motorsport village with paddocks and spectator zones during the event. The venue is reachable by car via the SS12 Abetone-Brennero road, with Pistoia and San Marcello Pistoiese as reference train stations and Florence or Pisa as the nearest airports. Rider registration requires a valid sporting license and is handled through the official event website.
